Squares_and_rectangles

The perimeter of a square of side A is equal to four times one of its side (4XA), whereas, the perimeter of a rectangle with length L and breadth B is two times the sum of two adjacent sides(2 X [L+B] ). Area of a rectangle is the product of its length and breadth (LXB), whereas, Area of a square is the square of its side (A X A). All this you have already studied in previous classes, let's see how much you remember!

Area_of_triangles

The area of triangle is 1/2 * base * height. Here we will learn how to derive this formula and solve an exercise based on finding area of trianges.

Circles

A circle is the locus of all points equidistant from a central point. Here we will learn basic concepts related to circle -- radius, diameter, circumference, area.

Area_of_a_parallelogram

A parallelogram is a four-sided figure whose opposite sides are parallel. Here we will learn how to calculate area of parallelogram. The area of parallelogram is the product of its base and height (b * h).
