Use_of_percentages

Percentages are used in every day life to state progress, ratio of quantities, probability etc. When we say we have done 50% of the work we mean that 1/2 of the work has been completed. Let's do a couple of examples to understand this better!

Equivalent_ratios

Ratios are a comparison between two quantities. If two ratios are equivalent, they are said to be in proportion. You have already studied about ratios and unitary method in rade 6th, let's see how much you remember!

Percentage_another_way_of_comparing_quantities

'Percent' comes from the latin 'Per Centum'. The latin word Centum means 100. So a percentage is a measure of the quantity we have of a specific part in relation to 100 portions of the whole! Here we will understand how to convert decimals to percents, percents to decimals, and discuss some percent word problems as well!
